Poker has become world famous as of late, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back in reality a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years several variations on the earliest poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely resembling twenty-one than long-standing poker, in that the players bet against the dealer instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is no bluffing or other kinds of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up before the dealer broadcasting "No further wagers." At that instance, both you and the house and of course every one of the different players receive five cards each. Once you have looked at your hand and the casino’s initial card, you have to either make a call bet or bow out. The call wager’s amount is equal to your beginning wager, which means that the stakes will have doubled. Surrendering means that your bet goes instantly to the bank. After the bet is the conclusion. If the bank doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your bet is given back, plus a sum on par with the ante. If the dealer does have ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand beats the bank’s hand. The house pays chips equal to your original bet and fixed odds on your call wager. These odds are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for two pairs
- three to one for 3 of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
