Online poker has become world acclaimed as of late, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game shows. Its popularity, though, stretches back quite a bit farther than its television scores. Over the years many variations on the earliest poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to 21 than long-standing poker, in that the players wager against the bank rather than the other players. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is no concealment or other types of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up before the dealer saying "No further wagers." At that moment, both you and the dealer and of course every one of the other players are given five cards each. Once you have seen your hand and the casino’s 1st card, you need to either make a call wager or accede. The call wager’s amount is equal to your beginning wager, meaning that the stakes will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your ante goes instantly to the dealer. After the bet is the face off. If the casino doesn’t have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, with a sum in accordance with the ante. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or greater, you win if your hand beats the bank’s hand. The casino pony’s up money equal to your wager and fixed expectations on your call wager. These expectations are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for two pairs
- 3-1 for three of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- twenty to one for a four of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
