Casino chips have been made from a varied selection of materials in an almost infinite assortment of variations since the birth of wagering and the requirement to keep track of winnings. The most commonly used materials employed at present in the creation of modern poker chips are plastic, clay composite, and acrylics. Clay chips, the original of the bunch, have been made in the US since the late 1800s.
Back in the 1800s, poker players appear to be using any small object with value you can imagine. Early poker enthusiasts sometimes used rough gold pieces as well as chips – normally made of wood and clay. By the 20th century, poker chip designs started to enjoy a greater prominence, and the smooth sides of older chips gave way to chips with ridges to hold them neatly stacked with each other.
There is little or no debate that poker has expanded steadily in appeal ever since its origin in the 1800s. With the huge advancement of web gambling and unique TV shows, community interest in poker has feed the fire faster than ever before. Many people are first introduced to poker by TV showssuch as "Celebrity Poker" or "Poker After Dark," and many will wager on their first hands online. Despite web poker’s growth, not much replaces the feeling of holding heavy poker chips in your hands, throwing chips into the center of a casino table, or creating tall pilesstacks of chips after showing a victorious hand.
